Coaching: A Tool for Growth and Transformation
What is coaching and how can it help you?
Coaching is a professional accompaniment process that aims to facilitate the personal and professional growth of the client—also known as the coachee. It's not about giving advice or offering prefabricated solutions, but rather about helping the individual discover their own answers through powerful questions, active listening, and structured tools.
Coaching, mentoring, and counseling: what's the difference?
Unlike traditional therapy or training, coaching focuses on the present and the immediate future. It starts from the premise that the client is creative, whole, and resourceful, although they sometimes need clarity to move forward.
As a certified coach by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), I adhere to a code of ethics that guarantees confidentiality, mutual respect, and a professional relationship based on trust.
In a coaching session, you are the protagonist. I act as a facilitator of learning and discovery, creating a safe space where you can reflect, set concrete goals, and design sustainable action strategies.
COACHING
It focuses on how to move from the present to the future. It doesn't offer advice; instead, it helps the client find their own answers.
MENTORING
It involves guidance from someone with experience in a specific area. It usually involves advice and knowledge transfer.
COUNSELLING
It's closer to psychological therapy. It works on past events and seeks to help overcome emotional blocks or traumas.
TALK LATER?
Coaching can help you if you're looking to make important decisions, improve your leadership, find a purpose, or face personal or professional changes. If you're wondering if you need a coach, consider this: Would you benefit from someone who listens without judgment, who trusts you, and who helps you see what you don't yet see? If the answer is yes, I'd be happy to accompany you in that process.
MEMBER OF THE INTERNATIONAL COACHING FEDERATION (ICF)
In 2018, after completing my initial coaching studies in Barcelona, I applied for the ACC (Associate Certified Coach) level with the International Coach Federation (ICF). This required passing a comprehensive exam, several coaching session recordings, hours of supervision by other certified coaches, and passing the ethical values test. It was the first step toward professional coaching.
Since then, I studied Team Coaching at the renowned Gestalt Institute in Barcelona, became a Mentor Coach, and attended various courses, including Values Coaching and the Coaching Retreat (supervision and self-development).
In 2022, after more than 600 hours of coaching clients, I applied for the next professional level, PCC (Professional Certified Coach) with the ICF. These certifications last three years and require ongoing learning through webinars, courses, peer coaching, and more. I renewed my PCC level in 2025.
As a member of ICF Spain and ICF International, I support our community by offering webinars, peer coaching, mentor coaching, or any other way to create synergies. Coaching is still a very young profession, and ICF is the world's largest coaching association with more than 48,000 certified coaches in 150 countries. All members strive to elevate the practice of coaching toward greater professionalism, based on the eight ICF coaching competencies with a clear ethical and inclusive focus.
In this dynamic and ambiguous world, we're all a little lost. That's quite normal, and coaching can be of great help because it triggers a shift in mindset. It's that "click in your head" to see things from a different angle. It's also very practical and you can use it immediately in your professional and personal life.
Together we will find the path that will take you where you want to be!
My unique value lies in having experienced what many of my clients are going through. I can understand your challenges from the inside and help you find practical and sustainable solutions. Whether in person in Barcelona or virtually, I am committed to your development.
